Carla Bonilla Huaroc is an architect and interdisciplinary designer working at the scale of buildings, interiors, and objects to create captivating environments and experiences.
As a designer and creative lead, she has worked at renowned architecture practices such as Gehry Partners in Los Angeles and LEVER Architecture in Portland. In these roles, she developed innovative design concepts for art museums, multi-family housing, and office projects.
Her personal speculative design work and writing explore new aesthetics at the intersection of art, architecture, and emerging technologies. These have been widely published on platforms such as DesignBoom, MasterCard’s Luxury Magazine, FRAME magazine, and ArchDaily. She has also taught at the master's level at the University of Oregon School of Design.
Carla holds a master's degree in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was awarded the Philip Cret Medal for excellence in design. She has a BS in Architectural Studies from the University of Utah.
Carla is a registered architect in the state of Oregon.
